The DIN standard 68800, Part 4 defines:

"If obstructed wood or timber materials are stricken by mushrooms…. and the infestation load-bearing or reinforced construction units endangered, suitable measures must be seized to fight them "

Further the standard demands to do that without the use of chemical means if the mycelium can be killed by suitable measures and a reinfestation is to be excluded.
